Arab Open University
The Arab Open University (AOU) is a non-profit university. The inception of AOU is a personal initiative by Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, The AOU first phase was launched in October 2002 in three branches: Kuwait, Lebanon and Jordan. Branches in Bahrain, Egypt and Saudi Arabia were opened in 2003. Branches were opened in Oman in February 2008 and in Sudan in September 2013.
AGYA
The Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA) is the first bilateral young academy worldwide. It was founded in 2013. AGYA is the first bilateral young academy worldwide. The academy’s members and its alumni/alumnae are involved in building a community of trust that creates interregional competence networks to inspire a new kind of research practice on equal terms.
UNDP
UNDP is based on the merging of the United Nations Expanded Programme of Technical Assistance, created in 1949, and the United Nations Special Fund, established in 1958. UNDP, as we know it now, was established in 1966 by the General Assembly of the United Nations.
AGFUND
Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) is a regional organization, established in 1980 by the initiative of His Royal Highness the late Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz and the support of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council. AGFUND aims at the roots of human development problems, targeting all segments of society without discrimination.
