Prof. Osama Ayadi, Porfessor of Solar Energy/ Applied Science University

Prof. Osama Ayadi is a highly educated, specialized and experienced energy specialist and trainer, with 15 years of international experience. Ayadi worked on the design, development and optimization of novel energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for different applications in Europe and MENA region funded by the EU FP6 , FP7, DLR, USAID such as; MEDISCO, HIGHCOMBI, SOLERA, SOLAIR, POLYSMART, EGYSOL, MONTESOL and others. Currently he is supervising a 16 MW solar energy project for the University of Jordan campus. Dr. Ayadi was ranked first in the B.Sc. of Mechanical engineering at the University of Jordan, received the M.Sc. degree in (Mechanical engineering - Solar energy) from Dalarna University in Sweden, and the Ph.D. degree in energy from Politecnico di Milano in Italy. Dr. Ayadi was awarded the Energy Globe award for MEDISCO Project. Currently, Dr. Ayadi is an Associate Professor at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of Jordan. In collaboration with partners from Europe and the MENA region, he is involved in the development of several postgraduate and undergraduate programs and courses in the fields of sustainability, environment and energy such as: MUREE, MANSUR, CLIMASP and EGREEN. He was an active member in the International Energy Agency tasks 38 (solar airconditioning and refrigeration) and Task 44(Solar and Heat Pump Systems). He is also a member of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES), the Association of energy engineers (AEE) and an elected member of the Mechanical engineering board at the Jordanian Engineering Association (JEA).
